WHAT'S NEW? DUE DATE CARDS
When you check out materials, staff inserts a due date card in your materials. This white card with purple trim is reusable and needs to be kept with library materials. In order to reuse the cards, please do not lose, fold or write on the cards. If you choose to renew a book, please write the new due date on a sticky note or your calendar. The Library staff thanks you for helping keep the due date cards in good condition for the next user.
GET YOUR KICKS AT HISTORIC ROUTE 66 PROGRAM ON MAY 10
Music, slides and more on Saturday, May 10 from 2 - 3:30 p.m.
On Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m., the LaGrange Public Library will feature a colorful slide and musical presentation on Historic Route 66. Learn how the highway was built, why it started in Chicago and how the building of the Interstate highway system contributed to the downfall of Route 66.
Presenter and author David Clark takes participants on a virtual tour of one of the most famous highways in the world with his captivating slides, tunes and visual aids. Learn why Route 66 was the preferred road of migration from the East and Midwest to the “promised land” of California.

Colorful Artwork from Local Parochial Schools on Display during May
Discover the latest artistic creations by private elementary school students
Student artwork from St. John Lutheran School, St. Cletus School and St. Francis Xavier School will be on display during the month of May. Artwork will be showcased in the Youth Services Department, Young Adult Room on the second floor, the Lower Level Art Gallery and the display cases on the first and second floor stairwells. Stop by to see the future artists of LaGrange and surrounding communities.
