Dilger-Hill Named New Director
for La Grange Public Library
LaGrange, IL – June 5, 2008 – The La Grange Public Library's Board of Trustees announced that Jeannie Dilger-Hill has been appointed as the Library's Director. Dilger-Hill has more than 14 years experience in public libraries and over 12 years of managerial experience.
She currently serves as a Library Consultant for the Metropolitan Library System in Burr Ridge. She has worked in small and large community libraries throughout the United States in a variety of positions including youth services librarian, outreach services manager and senior managing librarian.
“We're excited to welcome Dilger-Hill to the La Grange Public Library,” says Board President Becky Spratford. “She's a hard-working professional who will be instrumental in taking our mission and our new library facility to next level of excellence”
The Board believes that Dilger-Hill will be an exceptional leader for the Library with her community outreach experience and her strong commitment to customer service, staff development and collaboration.
”I'm very excited to be working at La Grange Public Library,” says Dilger-Hill. “With a new building in place, the library is well-positioned to become a cornerstone of the community.”
Dilger-Hill received a master's degree in library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has published a number of articles on library-related topics and has made numerous presentations at professional library conferences throughout the U.S.
Dilger-Hill will begin as library director on July 7. She replaces former director Steve Moskal who retired from the Library on May 30 after 34 years of service.
