Storytime introduces children to early literacy skills as well as the library through a half hour of stories and songs. Parents also have the opportunity to learn new stories and songs with their children and meet other parents.
Parents and caregivers can choose which storytime is appropriate for their 3 year old. The Toddler Storytimes planned for ages 2 and 3 have shorter stories and more songs and fingerplays. If your child is ready for longer stories then they are ready to move on to Preschool Storytimes offered to 3-5 year olds.
