We're Open: Curbside Pick-Up or Grab & Go AppointmentsJanuary 4, 2021
Starting Monday, November 23, the La Grange Public Library will be open for curbside pick-up; in-building services will be available by appointment for La Grange cardholders at a limited capacity in compliance with Tier 3 Mitigations.
We encourage patrons to keep visits brief and grab & go; computer and work/study space use is allowed for up to one hour. We also encourage patrons to limit their interactions with staff to 10 minutes or less whenever possible. Make your appointment online, reserve a work/study space online or call 708-215-3220. Non-resident appointments are available from 1:00-2:00pm, Monday-Thursday.
Upon arrival for your scheduled appointment, please ring our front doorbell and Library staff will review safety guidelines and answer any initial questions. Face masks that cover the nose and mouth are required at all times for anyone age 2 and up, and food/drink are not permitted. Patrons are also asked to stay home if they or a member of their family is currently ill or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19.
For curbside pick-up, patrons will receive an email when their holds are ready for pick-up. Please call 708-215-3200 when you arrive at the Library to let us know you are here to pick up your materials. You will need your library card or library card number. Holds can be placed via our website, or by calling 708-215-3200.
For the safety of our community and employees, we are operating with a reduced number of staff in the building and following all recommended social distancing measures. Due to these restrictions, you will likely experience longer than normal wait times when contacting the Library or picking up your materials curbside. We appreciate your patience as we work to serve you and keep our community safe.
*Non-resident appointments available: Monday-Thursday: 1:00-2:00pm
We are continuing to monitor the situation and follow the guidance of health experts and state officials. Please continue to visit our website and social media accounts to stay up-to-date on our current services.
And don’t forget, your Virtual Library is open 24/7. Visit www.lagrangelibrary.org/e-library to access streaming and downloadable books, movies, music, online learning resources and more.

SERVICE INFORMATION FAQ
Need a Library Card? No Problem!
All La Grange residents are eligible for a free Library card. Just come to the front door during our open hours, ring the bell and let our greeter know you are here to register for a Library card. You will need a valid photo ID (this includes student IDs) and proof of address if address does not match what is on your ID (examples include a utility bill or piece of mail). If you don't yet have proof of your La Grange address, we'll give you a temporary card you can use for 30 days until you have something to verify your address. Any residents age 12 and under will need to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Learn more about getting a La Grange Public Library card.
You can also register online for a Library card to utilize our digital services. Not only do you get instant access to our online services, it makes it easier to complete your full access registration when you come to the Library. Learn more about getting an online card.
