Six Weeks of Self-Care Crafts for Teens: Nov. 1-Dec. 11November 2, 2020
Sunday, November 1-Friday, December 11
Take a little you-time and make a craft to help de-stress and promote positive thinking. For six weeks starting in November, local teens can stop by the Library to pick up self-care craft kits (see schedule below). Crafts will be available for pick up at the front desk, or you can request curbside pick up by calling 708-215-3200 when you arrive. Crafts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, part of self-care is connecting with others, so on Friday, December 11, join us for a Zoom-and-Tell session where you can show off the crafts you made, discuss them and spend a little time connecting with each other.
November 1-7: Mandela & Zentangle Coloring Bookmarks
Relax while coloring pre-printed Mandela and Zentangle bookmarks, or try doodling your own. Kit contains: four pre-printed and two blank bookmarks, five colored pencils, one self-lamination sheet, plus video links for information and doodling inspiration.

November 22-28: Whimsical Photo Holder

Virtual SoulCollage Workshop
Wednesday, December 9, 7:00-8:30pm
Adults & teens welcome (Registration required)
Express yourself through collage! In advance of this Zoom meeting, we will supply a 5"x8" board, a 5" x 8" winter designed sheet of paper (or supply your own) to be used as a background image, and a clear protective sleeve. All you have to do is cut and collect an abundance of small print images that you feel drawn to (photos, magazines, old greeting cards, postcards, mail etc.). You must supply your own scissors and a glue stick. SoulCollage facilitator, Lynne Staley, will assist you with creating and interpreting your individual piece! Register now.
Friday, December 11, 5:00-6:30pm (Registration required)
Part of self-care is socialization and connecting with others, so let's connect virtually and take a little time to appreciate each other. Connect with your fellow teen crafters, show us any unique personalization you put into your crafts, talk about your favorites and enjoy what your peers created. Register now.
