Combat the winter blues and explore your creative side by picking up a cozy craft kit, courtesy of the La Grange Public Library! For six weeks starting January 17, local tweens and teens can pick up a craft kit at the front desk (with a scheduled Library appointment), or curbside (just call 708-215-3200 when you arrive). Crafts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
January 17-23: Straw Weaving Bookmark
Cozy up with your favorite book and a DIY knitted bookmark. Kit contains yarn, three drinking straws (already taped together) and instructions.
January 24-30: Among Us Crewmate Handwarmers
Stay warm and show off your fandom with these Among Us crewmate handwarmers. Kit contains flannel fabric, crewmate pattern, fabric adhesive, ¼ cup of rice and instructions.
January 31-February 6: Rock Doodling
Create a little beauty to brighten the dreary days, or give this ornate art creation to someone you love. Kit contains two rocks, one paint pen and instructions.
February 7-13: Craft Sticks Birdfeeder
Show the local birds some love with this DIY craft sticks birdfeeder. Kit contains one bundle of craft sticks, glue dots, a small bag of birdseed and instructions.
February 14-20: Felt Bird Bookmark
Clip a felt bird to your page while you pause to watch the birds at your feeder. Kit contains a felt fabric for body, wings, eyes and beak, paperclip, glue dots and instructions.
February 21-28: DIY Faux Leather Journal
Create a cozy place to record your memories with this faux leather journal. Kit contains one piece of faux leather, paper, twine, optional decorative items and instructions.
