SERVICE INFORMATION FAQ

Need a Library Card? No Problem!

All La Grange residents are eligible for a free Library card. Just come to the front door during our open hours and let our front desk staff know you are here to register for a Library card. You will need a valid photo ID (this includes student IDs) and proof of address if address does not match what is on your ID (examples include a utility bill or piece of mail). If you don't yet have proof of your La Grange address, we'll give you a temporary card you can use for 30 days until you have something to verify your address. Any residents age 12 and under will need to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Learn more about getting a La Grange Public Library card.

You can also register online for a Library card to utilize our digital services. Not only do you get instant access to our online services, it makes it easier to complete your full access registration when you come to the Library. Learn more about getting an online card.
