A Boy Called Bat

A Boy Called Bat

by Elana K. Arnold

Bixby Alexander Tam (B.A.T) has good and bad days. His parents are divorced, his big sister is annoying and he doesn’t like when his mom cleans his room. Bat also has autism. One day, Bat’s mom brings home a baby skunk to care for until it is strong enough to be released into the wild. Bat quickly becomes attached and is determined to show his mom he is responsible enough to care for the skunk. A great choice for animal lovers in grades 3-5. Also recommended as a read-aloud for children in grades K-6.
